Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in Luxor

Luxor is the site of the ancient Egyptian capital, Thebes, and home to many of the most renowned monuments, tombs and temples. It is the starting point for your Nile cruise. You will board the MS Dolphin/Queen and transfer by coach from Luxor Airport or your Red Sea resort. After lunch on board, visit the East Bank, including Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple.

Day 2: Luxor and the West Bank

Travel to the West Bank, Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of the Pharaohs. There is an optional visit to Tutankhamun's tomb*. Other highlights include the imposing Temple of Hatshepsut, the gigantic Colossi of Memnon and Medinet Habu Temple. In the afternoon, sail to Edfu through Esna Lock. Dinner is served on board and you will overnight in Edfu.

Day 3: Kom Ombo

Travel to the West Bank, Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, final resting place of the Pharaohs; there is an optional visit to Tutankhamun’s tomb*. Other highlights include the imposing Temple of Hatshepsut, the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, and Medinet Habu temple. In the afternoon, sail to Esna. Dinner is on board and you overnight at Esna. Day 4: Kom Ombo to Aswan

Visit the Unfinished Obelisk first thing, then take a motor boat from Aswan to the island of Agilkia to explore the Temples of Philae, devoted to Isis. Continue to the famous Aswan High Dam before enjoying an optional excursion to the Aswan Nubian Village National Park*.

Day 5: Aswan

A free day to explore Aswan and its lively souk, enjoy the optional early morning excursion to Abu Simbel*, or simply relax on board. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 6: Aswan to Kom Ombo

Enjoy a relaxing morning or use some free time to soak up more of Aswan. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride along the Nile before embarking and sailing to Kom Ombo. Overnight at Kom Ombo.

Day 7: Sail to Luxor

Enjoy a day soaking up the scenery as you sail downstream, crossing Esna Lock and arriving in Luxor in the evening. Enjoy your final evening with the optional Sound & Light Show at Karnak Temple*.

Day 8: Leaving Luxor

After breakfast, relax on board before transferring to the airport for your flight home or to your hotel if you are continuing with a Cruise & Stay holiday.
